Salt City Bassmasters

Is an organization dedicated to helping its members become better bass anglers through discussion, seminars, and interactive learning. Salt City strives to provide a competitive bass fishing tournament trail that encourages sportsmanship, fun, and learning. Lastly, Salt City Bassmasters wants to improve the knowledge of all anglers, promote ethical behavior and sportsmanship, and increase environmental awareness.

How to contact us?

Please feel free to come to a club meeting. Typically we meet the first Thursday of every month (unless it falls on a major holiday). Meetings will be at Sharkey's Bar & Grill, 7240 Oswego Rd, Liverpool, NY 13090. Meetings start at 7:00 pm and are open to the public. Please get there a little early to order dinner and drinks to support Sharkey's.

Or you can contact the club president, Tom Pavlot, by email.

Tournament Information

Tournaments are a draw partner format, which randomly pairs boaters and non-boaters together. So you do not have to own a boat to join.

The tournaments promote and encourage interactive learning because as a Salt City member you will be paired with different members throughout the tournament season. By fishing with different people, you can see first hand their approach to bass fishing and they can see yours. You should feel free to discuss with each other your fishing styles and past experiences. Tournament fishing at this level should not focus strictly on winning, but instead focus on making us all better anglers.

Tournaments entry fees are $40.00/Pro - $30.00/Am.

Membership Costs

Salt City costs $75.00 a year to join. $25 of that stays with Salt City, $20 goes to the NY State Bass Federation, and $30 goes to the B.A.S.S Federation Nation.

Also, all members need to be B.A.S.S members, which is done by subscribing to Bassmasters magazine (not included as part of the Salt City membership costs). It is each member's responsibility to keep their B.A.S.S. membership current. If your membership has expired or you would like to subscribe to Bassmasters you can sign up online by clicking here.
